Management

Club Management

The WNBC Inc is an Incorporated Association under the Associations Incorporation Act 1981 and is operated in accordance with Association Rules lodged with Consumer Affairs – Victoria (CAV).  Management of the club is by elected Committee.

The Committee consists of 8 members acting in the roles identified below.  Committee Meetings and General Meetings are minuted for the record.

In addition, a summary of Club Operations is reported to CAV annually under the signature of a nominated Public Officer.  Club records may be audited as CAV sees fit.

President

Responsibilities include:

·              coordinating effective management of the club’s affairs; and

·              acting as the club’s figurehead representative in general interactions with external parties.

Secretary

Responsibilities include:

·              maintenance of the Member Register;

·              distribution of extracts from the Member Register to those requiring it;

·              receiving external correspondence and coordinating responses to it;

·              preparing agendas for, and minutes derived from, club meetings;

·              coordinating the preparation and distribution of information, news letters etc to members;

·              management and maintenance of the club’s Administration records; and

·              management and maintenance of the club’s Publications.

Treasurer

Responsibilities include:

·              preparation of regular financial statements for meetings;

·              preparation of the annual budget;

·              banking;

·              management of accounts payable;

·              generation of invoices;

·              management of accounts receivable;

·              management of the club’s Insurance Cover;

·              management of access key deposits and key distribution; and

·              maintenance of the club’s Financial records.

SlipMaster

Responsibilities include:

·              managing all boat movement into and out of the yard;

·              managing all boat movement within the yard where such movement is not momentary or temporary;

·              member and public safety during slipping activity; and

·              management and maintenance of the club’s Slipping records.

Works Manager

Responsibilities include:

·              identifying and quantifying remedial work required on the club’s premises and facilities;

·              coordinating the execution of such remedial work;

·              supporting the development of capital works initiatives associated with the club, the club’s premises and club’s facilities;

·              coordinating the execution of such capital works;

·              maintaining a general awareness of the serviceability of the workshop equipment and, in doing so, making recommendations for necessary repair, replacement or upgrade; and

·              management of the club’s Technical references.

Committeemen (X 3)

Responsibilities include:

·              supporting other Office Bearers in their duties; and

·              undertaking other initiatives agreed to by the Committee.

Moorings Manager (dual role)

Responsibilities include:

·              acting as the club’s representative in Moorings interactions with Parks Victoria;

·              undertaking initial Mooring Inspections when requested by members and identifying any remedial work required;

·              as and if agreed with a member, supporting the remedial work;

·              undertaking final Mooring Inspections as necessary post remedial work;

·              preparing Mooring Inspection Reports for provision to Parks Victoria; and

·              maintenance of the club’s Moorings records.

Public Officer (dual role)

Responsibilities include:

·              acting as the club’s representative in all interactions with CAV;

·              advising CAV of changes made to detail relevant to the club’s Incorporation; and

·              providing the Annual Statement of the club’s Operations to CAV.
